Abstract
AbstrakTulisan ini mencoba untuk menguraikan hasii studi tentang budaya obsidian, yang telah diiemukan di iokasi tepian Danau Bandung Purba. Dapat diperkiraan dari Hngkungan tempat penemuan mcnunjukkan bahwa artefak obsidian dipergunakan sebagai peralatan hidup masyarakat tepi danau pada masa lalu. Artefak obsidian telah dicksploitasi atau digunakan sebagai peralatan hidup dalam kurun ribuan tahun. Sampai sekarang budaya obsidian yang diiemukan di tepian Danau Bandug Purba masih menjadi satu perdebatan di kalangan ahli, mengenai kronologi, dan juga tentang manusia pendukung budayanya. Dengan adanya data temuan baru dari Gua Pawon, budaya obsidian dicoba untuk mcmbahas lebih lanjut schingga beberapa masalah tentang kronologi budayanya serta tetang manusia pendukung budayanya dapat diklarifikasi.Kata Kunci: artefak, distribusi, kronologi, budaya, dan masyarakat Abstracts, This paper tries to elaborate the result about study of obsidian culture, which had been found by many spread location over the shore of the aancient lake of Bandung. Can be estimate from the locations, which have obsidian artifact in the prehistoric human being possibility in the shore, had been exploited or use the same resource obsidian in range of thousands of year ago. Obsidian culture and its artifacts still become as one debate among the expert, regarding its chronology, and also about human behind who supported its culture. With the existence of new finding data from Pawon Cave, the obsidian culture tried to discuss, so that some the problems can be given the clarification such as about its chronology and also its society behind.Keywords: artifact, distribution, chronology, culture, and society
